I'm sure there are a ton of videos of people singing this song but I would argue that middle aged men singing songs that only angst riddled 14 year olds love in order to seem hip and to distract from his Just for Men addiction is funnier than most clips on the internet.
Off their new album Stir the Blood, this video has all the makings of an entertaining movie: kinky sex, panty shots, gas masks and mermaids. With this, their third album, the band seems to be going for a new tinge to their post-punk, New Wave sound by hiring producer John Hill, who has also worked with M.I.A. and Santigold. The album is due out November 10th on Island Records.
After playing in three bands, starring in a couple documentaries and launching a new record label, Jack White has now added directing to his 2009 resume. And in an almost David Lynch-like production, he holds his own. And i've come to expect nothing less from the band who put out one of the baddest videos of the year, Treat Me Like Your Mother.
Radiohead's Thom Yorke debuted new material with an all-star backing band at an intimate venue in Los Angeles tonight (October 2).
The frontman rolled out several tunes with the new band, which featured Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, REM collaborator Joey Waronker, Brazilian multi-instrumentalist Mauro Refosco, and producer Nigel Godrich. Tickets for the last-minute "secret" gig at the Echoplex were at a premium, selling out in a matter of minutes and reportedly being scalped online for as much as $3,000.
Yorke was in incredibly high spirits, dancing, smiling and even joking with the audience, which included Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon, actresses Rosanna Arquette and Ellen Page, famed producer Rick Rubin, and members of Neon Neon and Cold War Kids. "Welcome to the 'rehearsal,'" he said, miming air quotes in the air with his hands. Read on here.

To sound like a Jappy girl from NYC, Muse's new album The Resistance is FABULOUS! And Uprising follows a long tradition of kick ass leadoff tracks. Ominous synths, wailing guitars, and, of course, teddy bears that seek world domination. This vid was released last week, sorry for the delay.
“Wheels” is the first single off FF's upcoming best-of collection Greatest Hits. 18 years later, the song rejoins Grohl with former Nirvana producer Butch Vig. Greatest Hits will feature one more Vig-produced new song, dubbed “Word Forward,” plus 14 more of the Grammy-winning band’s biggest hits. The deluxe version of GH will come with a bonus DVD featuring all those Foo music videos, including “Wheels,” plus some live performance footage. The collection is due out November 3rd.
The 20th anniversary reissue of Nirvana’s Bleach is a month away (damn that's been twenty years?), and Sub Pop is offering up a free download of one of the songs on the remastered live disc that will accompany the band’s debut album. “Scoff” was recorded at Portland, Oregon’s Pine Street Theatre on February 9th, 1990, and judging on this track alone, the previously unreleased concert disc will put to shame all those pre-Nevermind bootlegs you purchased back in the day. Producer Jack Endino, who also oversaw Bleach, remixed the original Pine Street tapes for the release.
Pre-order the Bleach reissue over at the Sub Pop store now. The reissue hits store November 3rd.
